The Australian Council for Adult Literacy (ACAL) has produced a free webinar which looks at what is happening for literacy in the states and the Northern Territory. In the webinar, speakers from state councils for adult literacy (CALs) talk about the strengths and challenges of the adult literacy systems.
The webinar discusses some key questions.
Why does the adult literacy field differ according to where you live? What can we do to create opportunities for every adult facing literacy barriers?
The webinar is part of a ‘stretched virtual conference’ an innovative response to the pandemic to provide accessible professional development to ACAL members. Throughout the year ACAL members are being given opportunities to engage in PD and discussion through webinars and recorded sessions.
