NSWALNC Annual Conference – Teaching adult literacy and numeracy: more than skills

The NSWALNC conferences always has great speakers with challenging insights around theory and practice as well as practical sessions providing new teaching ideas. This year’s NSWALNC Annual Conference will be held on Friday 8 December 2023 at the Aerial Function Centre, University of Technology Sydney.

Plenary speakers include:

  • Associate Professor Katrina Thorpe from the University of Technology, Sydney talking on Learning from Country: place-literacies for connecting, truth-telling and Healing and
  • Professor Uta Papen, from Lancaster University in the UK on the topic of: More than skills– was it just a dream? What role does the concept of adult literacy as social practice play in adult literacy policy and practice today?
