The theme for 2021 is:
Literacy for a human-centred recovery: Narrowing the digital divide
COVID-19 lockdowns have certainly disrupted learning for children, young people and adults around the world. We can also see how online learning can be a double-edged sword. Allowing some people to continue learning whilst at the same time magnifying inequalities for others in accessing meaningful literacy learning.
In 2020, The Hotline explored this theme by examining the rapid shift to online learning and sought feedback from the sector about what needs to be considered. See Online Learning and Digital Isolation Report.
