University of Technology Sydney
Apply to enrol at the University of Technology Sydney if you are interested in –
- a specialist qualification to teach literacy and numeracy to adults; or
- extending your existing knowledge to work with adult literacy and numeracy learners.
The University of Technology (UTS) offers a specialist qualification to teach English language, literacy and numeracy in Australian adult education colleges. The Graduate Diploma in TESOL and Applied Linguistics – Adult Literacy and Numeracy stream, involves up to 2 supervised practicum placements in authentic adult education classrooms, and subjects to develop your knowledge of contemporary theories and practices for working with adult English language, literacy and numeracy learners. No previous teaching experience is required. Career changers are welcome. There is a limited number of Commonwealth Supported Places, so apply early!
