Congratulations to the Australian Men’s Shed Association and Queensland Government on a very successful Living Well Expo in Bundaberg, Queensland on 19th June. Based on the Wheel of Well-being, the Expo acknowledged the importance life-long learning plays in wellbeing.
Elizabeth from the Hotline was there to talk about adult literacy and in the process made some excellent connections with the community. The Hotline learned more about some of the great literacy programs being run in Bundaberg and also found out about sections of the community who’d like more access to classes. This information is helpful in advocating for more targeted literacy classes.
